Nicholas R. Ferrante

Nicholas R. Ferrante age 78 of Washington PA passed away peacefully Friday July 15, 2022, in his home with his family by his side He was born December 30, 1943, in Trenton NJ, a son of the late Ralph N. and Mary Tonti Ferrante. Nick had been in the Washington area since 2001 and live most of his life in Bordentown NJ and graduating from Trenton Sr. High School. He was a proud member of the United States Marine Corp, receiving the good Conduct Medal. He was a member of the American Legion Post and Fraternal Order of Elks in Bordentown. He was Roman Catholic and had attended St. Oscar Romero Parish, St. Patrick Church in Canonsburg. Nick was a self-employed Contractor owing Ferrante Construction until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting but his favorite pastime was spent with his grand and great-grandchildren. On February 11, 1978, He married his devoted wife Cathann Gunn, who survives after 44 years of marriage. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved children, Jeanne Marie Ferrante of Greenville, South Carolina, Mary Catherine (Eugene Jr.) Cardone of Chesterfield NJ, Rocco Nicola (Jacquelyn) Ferrante of Lawrenceville, NJ and Caitlin Alexa Maceiko of Lawrenceville NJ, his dear sister Maria Ferrante of Washington PA, twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents are two children, Nicholas Ralph Ferrante and Antionette Marie Ferrante, and his brother Ralph Nicholas Ferrante Jr.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at noon Tuesday, July 19, 2022, in St. Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick Church 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg PA. Please meet in church. Full Military Honors by the VFW Post 191 Honor Guard and the United States Marines will follow. Interment will be In Our Lady of Lourdes cemetery, Trenton NJ. In lieu of flowers please feel free to make a donation in Nick’s memory to your local Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.  Mr. Ferrante’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc.
