Michael A. Magnetta, Sr. age 66 of Houston, died Friday, July 24, 2009 at 8:13 AM, in Washington Hospital.
He was born on February 23, 1943, in Washington, the son of James Magnetta and the late Louise Brach.
Mr. Magnetta was a photographer and owner of Magnetta's Photography, which was his passion in life.
He was a member of St. Patrick church.
Mr. Magnetta lived most of his life in Houston.
He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandson Tommy, he was an avid hunter.
Mr. Magnetta always placed other people's needs first and always lent them a helping hand.
On March 20, 1981, he married Eileen Pecharka, who survives.
Also surviving are son, Michael A. Magnetta, Jr. of Brownsville; daughter, Christina (Thomas) Jordan of Washington; step-son, James L. Hall of Washington; step-daughter, Rhonda L. Hall of East Northport, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Robert and Donovan Magnetta and Thomas "Tommy" Jordan, two step grand children, Steven and Stephanie Randall; sister, Rita Brock of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is brother, James Magnetta.
Friends are welcome on Monday, July 27, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg, where a Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 9:30 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Patrick Church.
