Michael Robert "Gat" Godwin age 29 of Canonsburg died unexpected Sunday September 25, 2011 in McDonald.
He was born October 22, 1981 in Pittsburgh a son of Robert W. (Lynn Milner) Godwin of Bridgeville and Mary Jo (fiancAC.e Richard Simons) Ragaller Godwin of Oakmont.
Mr. Godwin graduated from Canon McMillan High School class of 1999 and attended West Virginia Wesleyan University. He was an avid Steelers fan and was a volunteer parent with the Cub Scouts and cheerleaders among his children's activities. Mr. Godwin lived in Canonsburg for the past 10 years and was formerly of Hendersonville.
He had attended Crossroads United Methodist Church.
On August 4, 2004 he married Jeanna Almo who survives. Also surviving in addition to his wife and parents are his daughter Nevaeh Belle Godwin, two sons Daelin Michael and Dominic John Godwin all at home, his sister, Lacey Lorene Godwin of Oakmont, maternal grandmother Dolores Louise Ragaller of Bridgeville, his paternal grandparents, William R. and Grace L. Godwin of Bridgeville, his in- laws, Richard and Sandy Almo and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Deceased is his maternal grandfather, Richard Joseph Ragaller.
Friends are welcome from 2-7pm Wednesday, September 28, 2011 in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where services will be held at 7pm Wednesday with the reverend Kurt Jenkins and Pastor Dale Roddy officiating. Interment will be private.
