Mary Lou Moody age 72 passed away peacefully Friday September 17, 2010 in St Claire Hospital after having been ill for many years with Rheumatoid Arthritis.
She was born July 6, 1938 in Canonsburg, a daughter of Marie DiVitis Natale of Canonsburg and the late Louis R. Natale and was a member of St. Patrick Church.
Mrs. Moody was a graduate of Canonsburg High School and Penn State University where she earned a degree as a Medical Laboratory Technician. She had been employed as a Medical Lab Technician at John J. Kane Hospital until her disability.
On August 26, 1961 she married Robert E. Moody Jr. who died April 5, 1991. Surviving in addition to her mother are two sons; Robert J. (Jennifer) Moody of State College and Brian Moody of Canonsburg, two daughters; Diane (Tim) Smith of Houston and Brenda (Eric) Rectenwald of Bethel Park, a sister, Darlene Ambrose of Canonsburg, seven grandchildren; Alison, Casey and Zachary Rectenwald, Emma Lou and Madyson Marie Smith, Phillip and Michael Hanold, several Aunts, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
She also leaves behind Eva Lynn Cook of Arizona, a faithful friend since high school and will be sadly missed by her cat Penny.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Sunday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 were a blessing service will be held at 9:30 am Monday September 20, 2010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am in St. Patrick church .Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery
