MaryLou Bukovinsky age 64 of Canonsburg, died unexpectedly at 7:05 pm Tuesday February 1, 2011 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born September 3, 1946 in Canonsburg a daughter of the late Louis and Mary Bozak Tolzda.
Mrs. Bukovinsky lived her entire life in the Strabane and Canonsburg area where she was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. She had been employed for the past 13 years at Sarris Candies in Canonsburg and prior to that at the former Alexander Co-op store in Strabane until its closing. She enjoyed going to the VFW and the Meadows Casino.
On July 23, 1966 in St. Patrick Church she married Joseph P. Bukovinsky who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Shawn (Sandra) Bukovinsky and Joseph (Kelly) Bukovinsky, four grandsons, Dillon, Ethan, Brian and Daniel Bukovinsky, A sister Frances (William) Gall and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a sister Louise Brigich and a brother Raymond Tolzda.
At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation.
Friends will please meet at St. Patrick church for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10 am Friday, February 4, 2011. Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or the American Cancer Society for cancer research.
