Mary E. "Sissy" Prince Kovalovsky age 77 of Canonsburg, formerly of Bridgeville and Houston, died Sunday, November 13, 2011 in Canonsburg General Hospital.
She was born August 7, 1934 in Canonsburg, the daughter of the late Gabor and Mary Betarie Prince.
Mrs. Kovalovsky was a devoted Catholic and a member of St. Patrick Church.
She enjoyed spending time with her daughters, going out to dinner with them, shopping with them, spending time with her grandchildren, also doing cross word puzzles watching opera on TV. and in her earlier years going to dances. She was a kind, compassionate and caring women to all she new.
On February 4, 1978 she married Clement F. Kovalovsky, who died on April 14, 2001.
Surviving are her two daughters, Joyce M. Rankin of Pittsburgh; Tina Penely (Jay) Lloyd of Strabane; four grandchildren, Aaron J. Rankin, Zachary J. Rankin, Clement and Nicholas Kovalovsky; step-son, Clement F. Kovalovsky of Canonsburg; two sisters, Bernice (Albert) Monkewicz and Darla (Gary) Oliastro both of Canonsburg; three brothers, Gabor (Anita) Prince, Joseph (Marian) Prince both of Canonsburg and Frank (Ruth) Prince of Florida and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased also is a sister, Donna Prince Lochner.
Friends are welcome on Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at Salandra Funeral Service Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where a Blessing Service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM in St. Patrick Church. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
