Mary Yesenchak age 83 of Muse, died at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Consulate Health Care, North Strabane.
She was born on April 1, 1925, in Washington, the daughter of Anton and Mary Pavkovic Cecil.
Mrs. Yesenchak belonged to Croation Fraternal Union of America lodge 567.
She lived most of her life in Muse.
Mrs. Yesenchak was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a friend to all she knew. Her family was her life.
She enjoyed playing the slots.
On November 1, 1947 she married Joseph Yesenchak, who died on October 30, 1998.
Surviving are three daughters, Jo Ann "Dolly" Harter of Washington; Marsha (Harold "Jack") Harter of Prosperity; and Debra Wrubleski of Muse; seven grandchildren, Richard, Jr. (Linda), Holly, Harold, Jr. Harter, Heather (Tommy) Novak, Shana Harter, Kayla and Matthew Wrubleski; five great-grandchildren, Aundrea Harter, Allen and Tesla London, Dustin Harter and Kai Balazy; one sister, Helen (William) Schlaupitz of Houston.
Deceased are five brothers, John, Matthew, Nick and Steve Cecil and George Ognag; and one sister, Catherine Monkewicz.
Friends are welcome on Monday, March 23, 2009 from6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg (724-745-8120), where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Catherine Peternal officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
