Mary V.Gaydos White age 95 of Houston died Wednesday June 16, 2010 in the Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Twp. She was born June 24, 1914 in Canonsburg, a daughter of John and Anna Marcin Gaydos. Mrs. White was a member of St. Patrick church in Canonsburg and its Christian Mothers and Guild. She was a homemaker, a member of the Chartiers-Houston Senior Citizens and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Canonsburg 1211.
On April 21 1933 she married Nicholas White Sr. who died July 9, 1998 after celebrating 65 years together. Surviving are a son Nicholas ( Kathy) White Jr. of Canonsburg a, a daughter June (George) Chambers of Peachtree City Georgia,five grand children, Michael (Amy), Terry (Sandy) and Nicholas W.(Christine) White and George N. and Sandra Chambers, seven great grandchildren, Dakota, Dylan, and Katie Rose White, Kyle and Zachery Chambers, Travis White and Levi Sunday, several nieces and nephews. Mrs. White was the last of her immediate family. Deceased are two sisters, Anna Heiser and Elizabeth Kushma and three brothers, George Gaydos, John Gaydos, and Michael Gaydos, who died in infancy.
Friends are welcome from 2-8 pm Sunday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg, where a blessing service will be held at 11:30 am Monday, June 21, 2010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon in St. Patrick church 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg followed by interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg.
