Mary "Gerry" Spin Martin age 86 formerly of Houston passed away peacefully Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Golden Living Center South Hills.
She was born on August 11, 1926 in Midland, Chartiers Twp., the daughter of the late John and Mary Lucenti Spin.
Gerry attended Trinity High School and was along time member of St. Patrick Church.
She enjoyed reading, playing bingo and spending time with family and friends.
On February 21, 1947 she married her beloved husband Albert A. Martin, Sr., who passed away on May 3, 1997.
Surviving are son, Albert A. (Mary Jane) Martin Jr., of DuBois; granddaughter, Brooke DeJohn Shumaker of Punxsutawney; grandsons Brandon DeJohn of Columbus, OH.; and Anthony Martin of DuBois, two great grandchildren, Isabella DeJohn and Alex Shumaker, sister-in-law, Irene Spin and nieces and nephews all of Houston.
She is preceded in death in addition to her parents and husband, three sisters, Theresa Taylor, Catherine Haught and Vicky Lucus and four brothers, Dominic, Bulter, Benny and Anthony Spin. She was the last of her immediate family.
There will be no public visitation. Burial will be private at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Canonsburg. Arrangements are entrusted to Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120.
