Mary Audra Pollinger of Hickory died Monday August 2, 2010 in the Greenery. She was born March 15, 1916 in Porter's Falls, Wetzel County, West Virginia a daughter of the late Charles T. and Ursha Wilson Morgan. Mrs. Pollinger lived in Hickory since 1972 where she, along with her husband, ran Pollinger's Greenhouse and Florist. She was a member of St. Patrick church in Canonsburg and was a very active participant in the A.R.C. organization. Mrs. Pollinger received Mt. Pleasant Twp. Volunteer Fire Department's Volunteer of the Year Award for community service.
On June 15, 1944 she married Henry P. Pollinger who died August 2, 1989. Surviving is her son, Charles Henry (Wanda) Pollinger of Fort Gay, West Virginia, a sister Pauline Nolte of Wheeling, West Virginia, three granddaughters, Jennifer Jude, Candace and Kara Pollinger and a great grandson, Kylea Pollinger. Deceased is her daughter Jane Pollinger who died March 30, 2007 a brother Charles Sherman Morgan and a sister Thelma Weekley.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg, where a blessing service will be held at 9:30am Thursday August 5, 2010.
