Mary E. Pelka age 97 of Canonsburg, died Friday November 27, 2009 in Hawthorne woods, Washington.
She was born November 5, 1912 in Espeyville, Erie County, a daughter of Felix and Catherine Pawlishak Pelka. Miss Pelka lived her entire life in Canonsburg, where she was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Polish National Catholic Church and had been employed at the Continental Can Co. in Canonsburg and West Mifflin.
She was the last of her immediate family. Deceased is a sister Nellie Pelka
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Tuesday December 1, 2009 in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg, where a blessing service will be held at 10 am Wednesday, November 2, 2009 with the reverend Phillip Lavery , Pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Polish National Catholic church officiating.
