Mary Novotny age 94 of Canonsburg, Cecil Twp., passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at TownView Health and Rehabilitation Center Canonsburg.
She was born July 26, 1918 in Avella, the daughter of the late Alfonso and Mary Krezanosky Casciola.
Mrs. Novotny lived for over 40 years in Canonsburg, where she was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Muse. She worked at the former Kmart in Washington till her retirement.
On April 28, 1962 she married her beloved husband John Joseph Novotny, who passed away May6, 2001.
Surviving are nephews, Dean Casciola, Alan Casciola, two nieces, Tana Casciola, Donna Sapone and nephew and care giver Joe (Wendy) Kirby.
Deceased also are two brothers, Alfonso and Sylvester Casciola.
Friends are welcome on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120, where departing prayers will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 9:30 AM.
Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM in Holy Rosary Church in Muse. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Canonsburg.
