Mary Lou Lucas

Mary Lou Lucas age 67 of Canonsburg, passed away, Monday March 3, 2025, in Washington Hospital, following an extended illness withher beloved daughter and best friend by her side. She was born on August 1, 1957, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Joseph Anthony and Julia Polly DeFife. Mary Lou lived most of her life in Canonsburg where she was a member of St. Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick Church and a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School class of 1975. She attended the University of Pittsburgh and did clerical work for the Vella Dance Studio in Bridgeville. Prior to her retirement Mary Lou had been employed with Canonsburg Hospital and the former Greenery as a nurse’s aide. She loved to dance and sing and had many pets over the years including her cat, Tucker. Mary Lou was the last of her immediate family. Deceased is her parents and brother Joseph DeFife. Left behind to cherish her memory is her beloveddaughter Kiki Lucas of Pittsburgh and her devoted lifelong friend Rita Coleman DeStein of West Mifflin.
