Mary W. Hoop

Mary W. Hoop age 78 of Hickory died unexpectedly Wednesday April 4, 2012 in Washington Hospital. She was born June 25, 1933 in Apollo a daughter of the late John Sebert and Orpha Brinker Whitlinger. Mrs. Hoop lived in Hickory since 1960 and had been employed at Aristech prior to her retirement. She had last been employed as a school bus driver for Hickory Transport. Her husband Willard B. Hopp died December 21, 1970. She is survived by her son H. Brett (Karen) Hoop with whom she made her home, two granddaughters, Cody and Kaitlin Hoop and several nieces and nephews,
At Mrs. Hoop's request there will be no public visitation and interment in Mt. Prospect Cemetery will be private. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Salandra Funeral Service, Inc.
