Mary F. DeFilippo

Mary F. DeFilippo age 85 of Canonsburg died Wednesday December 29, 2010 in Canonsburg Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born October 8, 1925 in Canonsburg a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Wischmann Drosdick. Mrs. DeFilippo lived in Canonsburg her entire life where she was a homemaker and member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.
On January 16, 1949 she married Mike P. DeFilippo who died September 23, 2007. She is survived by her daughter Elaine (John J.) Masurak of Fair Oaks, her son Michael A. DeFilippo of Canonsburg, a granddaughter Kelly Lynn DeFilippo and several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family. Deceased are two brothers Andrew and Thomas Drosdick and two sisters Helen M. Koons and Irene Bachmeyer.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Thursday and from 8:30-9:30pm Friday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a blessing service will be held at 9:30am Friday December 31, 2010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am in St. Patrick R.C. Church followed by entombment in Queen of Heaven Cemetery Peters Twp.
