Mary C. Dami, 78 of Canonsburg passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on September 8, 1938 in Everson, PA to Leo Peta, Sr., and Josephine Skowornek Peta who preceded her in death.
On November 28, 1957 she married Albert R. Dami, Sr., who survives.
Mrs. Dami was a faithful member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Canonsburg and a former member of St. Genevieve Catholic Church where she was a member of the choir and Christian Mothers. She served as a Eucharistic Minister for both parishes.
Mary was a dedicated and loving mother who attended all of her husband’s and her son’s sporting events. She was also passionate about all of the Pittsburgh sport teams.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three devoted sons, Albert (Alby) R. Dami, Jr. (Mary V.) of Canonsburg, James B. Dami (Joanne) of Canonsburg and John B. Dami (Barbara) of Canonsburg, one sister, Barbara Ann Brodak of California, three grandchildren, Albert R. Dami, III, Aaron R. Dami, and Austin R. Dami, one great grandchild, Albert R. Dami, IV.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Daniel L. Dami, and a brother Leo Peta, Jr.
Friends are welcome from 1-8 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2016 in the Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, Owner/Supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Departing prayers will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, September 19, 2016 followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00a.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Interment will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
