Martha Rozanc age 96 of Glenn Canon formerly of Houston, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the home of her granddaughter, with her loving family by her side.
She was born March 2, 1917 in Southview, the daughter of the late John and Martha Chalky Skintek.
Mrs. Rozanc lived most of her life in Houston, and was a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Meadowlands and their Christian Mothers and Guild. She had been a seamstress, tap dancer, artist and nurses assistant through out her life.
On August 22, 1936 she married Joseph Louis Rozanc Jr., who passed away April 4, 1976.
Surviving are daughter, Carole Davis and son, Robert (Jean) Rozanc both of Canonsburg, twelve grandchildren, Mary Ann Chadwick with whom she made her home with, Theresa Schneider, Carole Tomsic, Joe Rozanc, Michael Rozanc, Robert Jr., Alan, Larry, Daniel, David Tiffaney and Wayne Davis, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was last of her immediate family.
Deceased also are son, Joseph Rozanc III, one sister, Anne Zurman and two brothers, John and Pete Skintek.
Friends are welcome on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120, where on Thursday, September 12, 2013 departing prayers will be held at 9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Meadowlands with Rev. D'Amico as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Cecil.
