Marjorie Perry age 92 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully Sunday September 14, 2014 in Canonsburg General Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born December 22, 1921 in Canonsburg a daughter of the late Pete and Carmello Gattola DeNardo. Mrs. Perry lived her entire life in the Canonsburg area. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church where she had been a member of the Christian Mothers and Guild.
On May 4, 1941 she married Samuel J. Perry Sr. who passed away December 27, 2008. Surviving is her beloved daughter Donna Jean (the late David) Dzikowski of Washington, six grandchildren; David (Stacey) Dzikowski, Rich (Kim) Perry, Keith (Angel) Perry, Melissa (Joe) Sawicky, Geoffrey Perry(Chrissie Slebonick),and Daniel (Christina) Dzikowski, five great grandchildren; Alyssa Perry, Josey and Lucas Dzikowski, Layton Marotto and Brieanna Sawicky, a sister Gilda Urban of Greentree and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Perry also leaves behind her faithful dog Dewey.
Deceased in addition to her husband and parents is her son Samuel J. Perry Jr. who passed away August 23, 1985, a brother Domenic DeNardo and five sisters; Viola Chiera, Alberta Chiera, Jean Dorn, Mary Eonda and Elizabeth Betarie.
Friends are welcome form 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday September 17, 2014 in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/Supervisor, Lin Webb FD 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg where departing prayers will be recited at 9:30am Thursday September 18, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in St. Patrick R.C. Church. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. The Christian Mothers and Guild of St. Patrick will recite the rosary at 2pm Wednesday in the funeral home.
