July 20, 1924 — June 4, 2015

Mario Louis Sacco age 90 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully Thursday June 4, 2014 in the Washington County Health Center, with his loving wife by his side. He was born July 20, 1924 in Canonsburg a son of the late Enrico and Maria Dinolfo Sacco. Mr. Sacco lived his life in Canonsburg where he was a 1942 graduate of Canonsburg High School and attended the First United Methodist Church of Canonsburg where he served as head usher for 20 years. He had been president of the Methodist men’s club, bowling league, and served as PPR committee chairman and Timeless Investment Chairman. He attended Robert Morris College. Mr. Sacco was co-owner of Feldman Dental in Pittsburgh and had been employed by Groff Dental. He proudly served with the United States Army Air Corps as a Segeant in World War II as a dental technician. He bowled with the City League and was an avid golfer and member of the Washington Country Club.  He had been very active with the Canonsburg Jaycee’s.

On August 26, 1950 he married his beloved wife Elizabeth” Betty” Webber, who survives. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family. Deceased in addition to his parents are two sisters; Carmella Niedzwicki and Rose Cadez and five brothers; Guyatana (Tony), Joseph, Ernie, Paul and Angelo Sacco.

Friends and family are welcome from 2pm until 8pm Sunday June 7, 2015 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, Lin Webb funeral director 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Monday June 8, 2015 in the First United Methodist Church of Canonsburg 161 West Pike Street Canonsburg with reverend Debra Rogolsky, officiating. Those attending are asked to please meet at church. Entombment, with full military rites accorded by the VFW Post 191 Honor Guard, will follow in Forest lawn Gardens, McMurray. Memorial contributions in Mr. Sacco’s name may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Canonsburg.
