Marilyn B. Wise, 73 of Canonsburg, formerly of Washington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 14, 2019 in North Strabane Rehabilitation and Wellness Center.

She was born on August 31, 1945 in Charleroi the daughter of Alexander and Blanche Brady Baird who preceded her in death.

On February 28, 1968 she married Herbert Wise who together celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary last year. Herbert, her beloved husband and companion, survives.

Marilyn was employed as a sales clerk for many years at Bon-Ton in the Washington Crown Center.

She was an avid book reader and especially loved murder mysteries. She enjoyed watching television, especially HGTV, shopping, running errands and her standing Monday hair appointment with David. She and Herbert were always together and made it a point to eat lunch together each day.

Above all, she loved her family dearly, especially her granddaughters and great granddaughter. Family was everything to Marilyn and she cherished her time spent with them.

Surviving in addition to her beloved husband, are her two devoted daughters, Dana M. Wise (Charles Fisher, fiance’) of Canonsburg and Monica A. Myers (Kenneth) also of Canonsburg, her brothers Charles A. Baird of Texas and Ronald L. Baird of Ellsworth, her three granddaughters, Alexandria Chamberlin, Savannah and Kendall Myers, her great granddaughter Gracyn Shae Chamberlin and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are welcome from 2~8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120 where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 with Darla A. Tripoli, LFD and Certified Celebrant officiating. Interment will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, PA.
