Marian F. Garrone

Marian F. Garrone age 92 of Canonsburg passed away Monday February 4, 2013 in Canonsburg General Hospital following a brief illness. She was born December 13, 1920 in Canonsburg a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Sedora Franko. Mrs. Garrone lived her entire life in Canonsburg where she was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers and Guild. She was a 1938 graduate of Canonsburg High School and was a gifted singer in the Big Band era and talented seamstress. A home maker, Mrs. Garrone had been employed in various secretarial positions thru the years. She was a member of the Washington County Chapter Secretaries Association. On September 30 1944 she married Albert F. Garrone who died July 12, 2003. Surviving are two daughters; Gail (David) Binotto of Washington and Janice M. Garrone of Mt. Lebanon, a son Dennis (Charlotte) Garrone of White Lake Michigan, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Garrone was the last of her immediate family. Deceased in addition to her husband are two brothers; Albert and Andrew Franko and three sisters; Helen Tomecsko, Margaret (Margo) Fetcko and Alice Franko.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Tuesday and Wednesday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 am Thursday February 7, 2013, followed at 10 am by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick Church. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. The Christian Mothers and Guild will recite the rosary at 3 pm Wednesday in the funeral home.
