Margaret E. "Marge" (Barnes) Patterson

Margaret “Marge” E. Patterson passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 1, 2017 in her home.

She was born on February 17, 1944 in Squirrel Hill to Kenneth and Margaret “Peg” Fuestel Barnes who preceded her in death.

On July 1, 1967 she married Ronald A. Patterson who passed away on December 8, 2010.

Margaret was a wonderful mother who had many hobbies and interests. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. Other interests including bowling and spending time with her beloved cocker spaniel, Lilly.  She was a terrific storyteller especially scary stories. She was dramatic but also could be silly. She was quite a character.

She is survived by her son Ryan Patterson of Latrobe, a daughter Katherine Cord of Baldwin, two brothers, Albert Barnes (Jean) of Sarasota, Florida and Steven Barnes (Betsy) of Chicago, Illinois, two sisters Suzanne Quinn of Bloomfield and Justine “Tina” McCardle (Michael) of Tarentum and three grandchildren John W. Cord, Kristina Cord and Marie Patterson.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Connie Kiesel.

Friends are welcome from 6~8 pm. on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. 724-745-8120. Interment will be private and held at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Mt. Lebanon.
