Margaret D.Spadaro age 83 of Canonsburg, died at 10:22 pm Thursday May 20, 2010 in her home. She was born January 13, 1927 in Canonsburg a daughter of John G. and Edna Margaret Neill Daugherty. Mrs. Spadaro was a homemaker and was an active at Chartiers Hill United Presbyterian Church where she had been a member since April 6, 1943. She had been an Avon representative for many years, and was a member of the Pythian Sisters and the Red Hat Society.
On July 16, 1948 she married Sam J. Spadaro Sr. who died May 24, 1993. Surviving are two sons Samuel J. Spadaro Jr. of Canonsburg and Donald F. Spadaro (Lisa Hartzell) of Eighty-four, two daughters, Annetta Churney of Canonsburg and Michele (John) Dawson of Saxonberg, a sister Virginia Hecht of Denver Colorado,
ten grandchildren, 2 great grand children and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two sisters, Elizabeth O'Brien and Dorothy Deakin, and a brother, John Daugherty.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Sunday and Monday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where Services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 with Reverend Donald Austin officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Chartiers Hill U.P. Church 2230 Washington Road, Canonsburg, PA. 15315.
