Margaret M. Kurnal

Margaret M. Kurnal age 81 of Canonsburg passed away Thursday August 29, 2013 in Country Meadows following an extended illness. She was born January 31, 1933 in Canonsburg a daughter of the late Vincent James and Catherine L. Cimino Graff. Mrs. Kurnal lived her entire life in Canonsburg where she was a homemaker and member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. She had been a member of the Christian Mothers and Guild. She loved her grandchildren, cooking and baking for her family and enjoyed keeping her house clean and gardening.
On September 3, 1933 she married Joseph E. "Jake" Kurnal who died July 11, 2004. She is survived by two sons; Greg Kurnal (Linda Kavka) of McDonald and Vincent Kurnal of Sewickley, a daughter; Melissa (J. Gregory Jr. ) Sulc of Canonsburg, five grandchildren; Jessica (Rob) Schulenberg, Joseph (Molly) Kurnal, Darla Kurnal, Emily and Liam Sulc, two great grandchildren; Blake and Leo Schulenberg, her sister Anna Marie (Jacques) Bertoni of Bethal Park and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are two brothers; Joseph John and Vincent James Graff and a sister Joanne White.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am Saturday August 31, 2013 in St, Patrick Church. Interment will be private. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120.
