Margaret Berton age 84 of Canonsburg, died Monday May 17, 2010 at Compassionate Care Family Hospice, Mt Lebanon Twp.
She was born January 13, 1927 in Follansbee West Virginia a daughter of Leo J.
and Pearl Swiger Semple. Mrs. Berton lived most of her life in the Lawrence, Westland and Canonsburg areas. She was Catholic by faith, and a homemaker.
On April 19,947 she married Mellio Berton who died September 28, 1993. Surviving are her daughter Christine Berton-Kief, with whom she made her home, two sons, Gary G. Berton of Salt Lake City Utah and James L. Berton of Rolla Missouri, six grand children , seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is her sister Madeline Sapp .
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor (724-745-8120) 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg where services will be held at 12:30 pm Wednesday, May 19, 2010 with pastor Dave Wierzchowski, officiating. She will be interred with her husband in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp.
