Marcella M. (Reichel) Skurski age 91 of Canonsburg, died Thursday, February 04, 2010 in Canonsburg General Hospital.
She was born June 10, 1918 in Avella, the daughter of Stanley and Anna Oprosky Reichel.
Mrs. Skurski was a self employed beautician and a devoted homemaker.
She was a former member of St. Patrick Church and a member of Canonsburg Senior Citizens.
Mrs. Skurski was a 30 year resident of the Cannon House and for the last five years of McMurray Hills Manor.
She enjoyed playing bingo horse racing, traveling and crafts.
Surviving are a daughter, Jacqueline A. "Jackie" (Ron) Gill of Canonsburg; three grandchildren, Marcia A. Masi, Joseph Masi and Dennis Masi; two step grandchildren; Donald and Gary Gill all of Canonsburg; seven great-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren; two brothers, Albert and Stanley Reichel both of Monongahela and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are her husband Frank Skurski who died in 1973, also deceased are a sister, Rita Popovich and brother, Joseph Reichel.
Friends are welcome on Sunday, February 7, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120, where Funeral Service will be celebrated on Monday, February 8, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Bernie McGraw of South Hills Assembly, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Monongahela Cemetery. Family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to one's choice in memory of Mrs. Skurski.
