Lucille Virginia "Lucy" Knupp age 81 of Hawthorne Woods formerly of Canonsburg died Friday April 1, 2011 in her home. She was born June 29, 1929 in Canonsburg a daughter of the late George Roy and Gladys Stevens Lyon.
Mrs. Knupp lived her entire life in Canonsburg . She was a member of the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church where she sang in the Chancel Choir for over 50 years and had served as a Deacon. She was a member and Past Matron of the Chartiers Chapter # 97 Order of the Eastern Star and Grand Representative to West Virginia. Mrs. Knupp was a homemaker and a past member of the Monday Evening Women's Club. She was a member of the Canonsburg Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and a Meals on Wheels volunteer who enjoyed bowling, gardening and caring for her grandchildren.
Mrs. Knupp was a graduate of Canonsburg High School class of 1948 and served on the reunion committee.
On September 3, 1948 she married Clyde Keith Knupp Sr. who died April 25, 1998. She is survived by seven children, Phyllis (Paul) Bednar of Houston, Gayle (Joe) Aggers of McDonald, Roberta (Joe) Mirisciotti of Dayton, Ohio, Jacqueline (Orlando) Campomizzi of Washington, Clyde (Lisa) Knupp Jr. of Canonsburg, Valerie Knupp of Morgantown, WVa and Christine (Dennis) Mumper of Canonsburg, her brother, George R. (Janet) Lyon of Houston, her sister, Arlene McKissick of Tucson, Arizona, a sister in law Bertha "Cookie" Lyon of Eighty-Four, thirteen grandchildren, Ryan and Justin Title, Joseph, Matthew, Benjamin and Timothy Aggers, Joshua, Samuel and Lindsay Mirisciotti, Kevin, and Stacie Campomizzi, and Heather and Kyle Knupp, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her husband are two brothers Arthur and Frederick Lyon and a sister Bertha Lyon.
Friends are welcome from 6-8pm Saturday and from 12
noon to 3pm and 6-8pm Sunday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc.

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. Chartiers Chapter # 97 Order of the Eastern Star will hold services at 7pm Sunday in the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church or to the Chartiers Chapter #97 Order of the Eastern Star.
