Louise Tedeschi 79 of Canonsburg, died Thursday, January 1, 2009 in Canonsburg General Hospital.
She was born November 3, 1929, in California, Pa., the daughter of the late Joseph and Carmela Encapera Ardizzone.
Mrs. Tedeschi was 1947 graduate from Chartiers Houston High School, graduating with high honors.
She was a nurse's aid at Western Center, retiring in 1993.
Mrs. Tedeschi loved spending time with her grandchildren, cooking and working crossword puzzles.
Surviving are daughter, Aleta L. Stevenson of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota; three sons, Alan R. (Cathie) Tedeschi of Canonsburg; Michael P. Tedeschi of Jefferson and Timothy E. Tedeschi of Bentleyville; twelve grandchildren, Aleta Johnson, Lisa Stevenson, Laura Stevenson, Yvonne DePoe, Michael, Christopher, Nina, Andrew, Anthony, Nicholas, Ryan and Christina Tedeschi; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was the last of her immediate family.
Deceased are three sisters, Phyllis A. Ardizzone, who died in infancy, Antoinette Russo and Phyllis Ann Arnone, and two brothers, Nunzio and Nicholas Ardizzone.
Friends are welcome on Monday, January 5, 2009 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm the time of the service at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg (724-745-8120), with Rev. Stephen Parkhill officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg. Family suggest in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in memory of Louise.
