Louise (Sulkowski) Heider

Louise Heider, 84 of Houston passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, April 19, 2019 surrounded by her beloved family.

She was born on June 15, 1934 in Canonsburg to Robert and Mary Jankowiak Sulkowski who preceded her in death.

On June 4, 1955 she married Harry Heider who passed away on April 29, 2015. They had celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Mrs. Heider was employed as a Nurses Aide at Washington County Health Center for 32 years earning a well deserved retirement beginning in 1996.

Louise enjoyed listening to polka music, doing puzzles and playing cards. Above all, she was a devoted matriarch of her family and will be sadly missed but always remembered with love and fondness.

She was blessed with five children who survive, David Heider (Rochelle) of Washington, Maryann Emph (Mark), Cindy Ewing, Carol Ann Heider all of Houston and Faith Ann Cain (Rodger) of Washington, adored grandmother of five grandchildren Michael Heider (Brandi), Logan (Bobby) Tharp, Lisa Hathaway (Ben), Deborah Cianfione and Harley Cain, thirteen great grandchildren Ryder, Riggs, Bentley Eckert, Gage and Pacey Heider, Shylynn and Danica Cianflone, Rylie Ewing, Syvanna, Brinn, Gavin Hathaway, Carson Tharp, and Serenity Tharp.

In addition to her husband and parents, she now rests with her granddaughter Christine Marie Cain, a grandson Jordan Michael Raineri and a great grandson Noah Hathaway, a sister Helen Sulkowski and son-in-law Luck Ewing who all preceded her in death.

Words cannot express how much Louise was loved how much she will be missed.

Friends are welcome from 1~9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor and Darla A. Tripoli, LFD, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120 where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2019. Interment in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, will be private.
