Loretta L. Procacina age 72 of Canonsburg died unexpectedly on Saturday May 19, 2012 in UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Procacina was born May 26, 1939 in Hendersonville a daughter of the late David and Roberta McLaughlin Baughman and lived her entire life in the Muse and Canonsburg areas. She had been employed as a nurse's aide at the former Mayview State Hospital for many years prior to its closing. She was a member of the Canonsburg Senior Citizens and enjoyed bingo and playing cards with her friends at the AHEPA Center.
On July 20, 1984 she married Joseph G. "Punky" Procacina who died May 8, 2005. She is survived by three daughters Vicki L. (Brent) Taylor of Washington, Cindy L. Wright of Louisville, Kentucky and Lesa M. Presto of Pittsburgh, two sons Joseph G. (Jodi) Stumf of Canonsburg and John D. Stumpf of Ohio, a sister Eleanor Buachman of McMurray, five grandchildren; David, Lori, Nick, Zachary and Cody, five great grandchildren; Joseph, Destiny, Anthony, Cheyanne and Micah, and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her parents is her brother David Bauchman.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Tuesday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where services will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 11am. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
