Loretta (Zicarelli) LaSalvia

Loretta LaSalvia, 100 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully Wednesday August 1, 2018 in Premier Washington Health Center. She was born July 9, 1918 in Calabria Italy a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Maria Zicarelli. Mrs. LaSalvia live most of her life in Canonsburg where she was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers and Guild. Loretta was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and bingo. She was employed by the Washington County Health Center for ten years as a seamstress and Carl's Cleaners in Canonsburg for 20 years.

She married August LaSalvia in September 1948 who passed away in 1968.

Left to cherish her memory are her son August LaSalvia and his wife Christine, three grandchildren Charles Tenny (Stacey), Nichole Tenny and Christopher LaSalvia(Erica) four great grandchildren, Ashley and Alexa Peton and Leah and Taylor LaSalvia. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents is her daughter Francis Karafilis and a daughter Sarah who died in infancy.

Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Sunday August 5, 2018 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in St. Patrick Church 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg. Interment will be private in St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg.
