Lillian Pastovich age 78 of Canonsburg died Sunday, August 07, 2011 in her home surrounded by her family.
She was born March 21, 1933 in Strabane, Pa.; the daughter of the late Jacob and Louise Grmek Kocain.
Mrs. Pastovich was a member of St. Patrick Church, Christian Mothers and Women Guild and the Women's Auxiliary of American Legion Post 902 of Houston.
She worked on the switchboard at Western Center, also so for Community Action Day Care and in her earlier years for Bell Telephone in Canonsburg and Washington.
Mrs. Pastovich enjoyed dancing, bowling, and camping trips with family and friends.
On July 7, 1956 she married Hasen M. Pastovich who died on March 8, 2005.
Surviving are daughter Diane (Robert) Macurak of Canonsburg; two sons, Michael (Janet) Pastovich of Taylorsville, Ga.; Brain K. Pastovich of Washington;; four grandchildren, Jeffry A. (Amy) Florian, Jr.; Joshua A. (Stacey) Florian, Jordan A. Florian and Michael Brian Pastovich, sister, Rosalie Sray of Canonsburg and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased also are two sisters, Sylvia LaJavic, Jennie Grivetti and two brothers, Louis Verch and Edward Kocain.
At the request of Mrs. Pastovich there will be no public visitation. On Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 9:30 am the Christian Mothers and Women's Guild will recite the rosary in St. Patrick Church followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am, if attending rosary please meet at church by 9:25am if attending mass please meet family at church by 9:50 am. Interment will be private and held in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg. Arrangements are entrusted to Salandra Funeral Service, Inc, Joseph P. Salandra owner/ supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120.
