Lillian A. "Necca" Gasbarrini age 73 of Canonsburg/Muse died Thursday November 10, 2011 in her home with her loving family by her side following and extended illness. She was born August 18, 1938 in Muse a daughter of the late Frank and Rosa Saieva Tatano. Mrs. Gasbarrini had lived her entire life in the Muse area where she was a member of Holy Rosary Church and the Christian Mothers. She had been a member of the Muse Independent Women where she was know for making delicious spaghetti and tripe sauce for over thirty years.
Mrs. Gasbarrini had been employed at the former Mayview State Hospital, and a school crossing guard in Muse and was last employed in the housekeeping and laundry departments of Horizon and Townview in Canonsburg for 17 years. She enjoyed crafts, ceramics, cooking and spending time with her family.
On November 28, 1959 she married Victor Gasbarrini who survives and was the love of her life. Also surviving are two sons Victor J. Gasbarrini at home and Dante (Carole Adams) Gasbarrini of Muse, two daughters; Carla (James) Adams of Canonsburg and Dawn Marie (Joseph) Preteroti of Muse, seven grandchildren Heather (Spence) Anderson, Brandon Sharer, Shelly Adams, Mekala and Dante Gasbarrini Jr., Selina and Jordon Preteroti, two sisters; Connie Terling and Mary (Roy) Leichty both of Canonsburg two brothers; Charles Tatano of Muse and Sam Tatano of Canonsburg and many nieces and nephews. Deceased are two sisters Sara Dohanich and Rose Tatano and three brothers Patsy Alfonse "Turtle" and Angelo Tatano.
Friends are welcome from 6-8pm Saturday and from 1-4 and 6-8pm Sunday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg where departing prayers will be said at 9:30am Monday November 14, 2011. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Monday in Holy Rosary Church, Muse with Reverend George T. DeVille as celebrant. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens McMurray.
