Lillian Mary Karshina, age 84, of McDonald, PA, died January 1, 2011 in Canonsburg General Hospital.
She was born May 29, 1926 in Avella, Pa.; daughter of Michael and Victoria Inamo Karshina.
Spirited and loving mother of Gregory (Francoise) Sadlek, Leo (Kate) Sadlek, Kathleen (Chuck) Reynolds, Susan (John) Bazyk, Mark (Steve Habgood) Sadlek, Paul(Melissa) Sadlek, dearest grandmother of Timothy, Jonathan, Christopher, Luke, Benjamin, Sam, Andrew, Jackson, Victoria, Audrey, Ryan and Carson; sister of Bertha (Sam) Ferrate, friends of many in the Slovenian Community and in the Haveloch Commons.
At the request of Lillian there will be no public visitation. A Pray Service commemorating Lillian Karshina's life will be held at the Church of St. Mary of the Assumption at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 8, 2011. Family reflections and lunch immediately following in the Church atrium, 15519 Holmes Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110- (216) 761-7740. In lieu of flowers, Lillian's request was for donations in her name to either of the following institutions that meant so much to her: (1) Presbyterian Senior Care Foundation-Haveloch Commons 1215 Hulton Rd., Oakmont, PA 15139 or (2) SAHF Slovenian Scholarship Fund, c/o Dana Leonard, 17907 Dorchester Dr., Cleveland, OH 44119.
