Lee R. Mason age 81 of Houston passed away Wednesday January 31, 2018 in Donnell House Washington following an extended illness. He was born July 31 1936 in Canonsburg a son of the late Abraham Michael and Anna Lee Ullom Mason. Mr. Mason lived in the Canonsburg Houston area his entire life and was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Houston. He served as a Master Sargent with the Pennsylvania National Guard and had been plant superintendent with Mineral Mills in McKees Rocks and plant superintendent at Abex Corporation of Houston. Mr. Mason was owner of the Brownlee Wiping Cloth Company in Washington for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of Washington Country Cub where he had served as a board member and was an avid poker player and Bowler.  On September 22, 1956 he married Joyce M. Pallette who passed away March 20, 2006. Left  behind to cherish his memory are his two children; Mark (Rhonda) Mason of Washington and Marsha L. Mason of Canonsburg three grandchildren Rachel Leigh (Robert) Burdette, Audrey Marie and Michael David Mason, his dear friend and companion Gloria Schmalz and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his wife and parents is his son Michael Gene Mason. He was the last of his immediate family. Also deceased are two sisters; Elizabeth Matyas and Stella Mondick and two brothers; James Mason and John Albert Mason who died as a child.

Friends are welcome from 2-8 pm Monday February 5, 2018 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where services will be held at 10 am Tuesday February 6 2018 with reverend Emily Miller, pastor of the 1st United Presbyterian Church of Houston officiating.
