Julia R. (Rebosky) Takacs

Julia R. Takacs, 99 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 29, 2017 in Concordia Hospice of Washington Donnell House.

She was born on December 21, 1917 in Canonsburg to Frank and Mary Fe’her  Rebosky who preceded her in death.

She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Canonsburg.

Ms. Takacs worked as a laser technician for RCA in Canonsburg until her retirement.

She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the RCA Retirement Club and enjoyed doing arts and crafts particularly crocheting and sewing.

Ms. Takacs was the last of her immediate family.

The family would like to thank the Donnell House staff for all their kindness and compassion for Julia while she was in their care.

She is survived by her daughter Barbara McGary of Canonsburg, her grandchildren Tracy Peyton (David), Dana Cilano (Vincent) Mark McGary (Beverly), Theodore Takacs (Theresa), Dwayne Takacs, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Theodore Takacs, her two brothers, Bela and Frankie Rebosky,  one sister Mary Zaricki, and a grandson Shane Takacs.

Friends are welcome from 2~4 PM and 6~8 PM on Friday, November 10, 2017 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:00 AM  in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Concordia Hospice of Washington Donnell House or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
