Joyce Ann Traub age 55 of Muse, passed away on Tuesday June 18, 2013 in West Penn Hospital, Forbes Hospice in Pittsburgh following a courageous three year battle with cancer, with her family by her side. She was born December15, 1957 in Canonsburg a daughter of the late Silvio Jr. and Patricia Ann Walker Bernardi. Originally from Muse she lived in Chesterfield Co. Virginia for twenty one years and returned to her roots in Muse in 2000. A member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, she was a graduate of Canon McMillan High School class of 1975. Mrs. Traub had been employed at Ray Hough Company as Customer Service Manager.
Surviving are two sons; Michael Traub (FiancAC.e Krisie Soriano) of Moseley VA and Adam Traub of Richmond VA, their father David Traub of Richmond VA, her sister Patricia A. (Michael) Dooey of Hamilton New Jersey, four aunts, two uncles, several cousins and many good friends.
Friends are welcome from 6-8pm Thursday and from 2-4 and 6-8pm Friday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120, where departing prayers will be recited at 9:20 am Saturday June 22, 2013, followed at 10 am by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Rosary Church, Muse with reverend George DeVille, pastor as celebrant. Interment will follow in West Point Cemetery, Avella. Joyce had a true love for her family, friends and pets. She had requested any memorial contributions in her memory be made to a non-euthanizing animal rescue center of the donor's choice.
