Joyce A. Guzel

Joyce A. Guzel age 50 of Canonsburg, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013 after a brief illness at Allegheny General Hospital.
She was born on February 6, 1963 in Washington the daughter of Robert and Melba Conner McVay of Scenery Hill, who survives.
Mrs. Guzel was a graduate of Bentworth High School class of 1981, was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She lived in Canonsburg for the last 29 years, and at one time worked for Kusturiss's Law firm, Toy's-R-Us, Eighty "Four and Hickory Auctions. Mrs. Guzel also was a devote house wife, who was very family oriented, enjoyed working on Oak Spring's farm, cooking and crafts.
On October 15, 1983 she married her beloved husband Frank Guzel, Jr. who survives.
In addition to her parents and husband who survive are daughter, Amanda (Shawn Miller) Guzel of Washington, son, Travis ("T") (FiancAC.-Sara Egger) of Canonsburg, granddaughter, Sarah Miller, sister, Christine (Brian) Keeley of Winterport, Maine and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome on Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120, where Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 10:00 am with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg. Family suggest in lieu of flowers donations be made to American Cancer Society or to American Heart Association in memory of Joyce.
