Joseph L. "Chick" Mulholland age 92 of Meadow Lands formerly of McDonald and Canonsburg, died at 6:47 am Wednesday December 30, 2009 in Golden Living Center of South Hills following an Extended illness. He was born March 13, 1917 in Carnegie a son of the late Michael Patrick and Anne Elizabeth Feeley Mulholland.
Prior to his retirement Mr. Mulholland had been a truck driver for Fisher Body in West Mifflin where he was employed for 30 years. He lived in Meadow Lands for the past two years and most of his life in the McDonald area. Mr. Mulholland was a member of Holy Rosary R.C. Church in Muse the Belgian Club, and the South View and Canonsburg Senior Citizens.
On May 19, 1943 he married Margaret Cunningham who died August 27, 2000. Surviving are two daughters, Violet Ann (William) Stanko of Canonsburg and Margaret Jean "Peg" (John) Koishal of Carnegie a granddaughter Nicole Leigh (Raymond) Rice, a great grand daughter Madison Mieko Rice a brother, Elmer Mulholland of Carnegie and a cherished friend Margaret Banish of Chartiers Twp., several nieces and nephews. Deceased are five brothers, James, Michael, Edward, Francis and Robert Mulholland and four sisters, (Agnes) Sister Leocadia, a Sister of Charity Mildred Delfosse, Marie Baker and Anna "Dolly" Mulholland.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday January 3, 2010 in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 am Monday January 4, 2009.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in Holy Rosary church, in Muse, with the Reverend George DeVille, pastor, as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Twp. To leave condolences please go to www.salandrafunerals.com
