Joseph Frederick (Joe) Pruce of Canonsburg passed away on Tuesday morning, February 28, 2107 in the Washington County Health Center. Joe peacefully passed away after a 3 year battle with dementia.

He was born on January 16, 1939 in Canonsburg a son of the late Joseph and Anna Pruce.

Joe was the beloved husband of 53 years to Andrea (LuLu) DelBene Pruce who survives.

He was a 1956 graduate of Canonsburg High School.

From 1956 to 1964, Joe served with the U.S. Army National Guard of Pennsylvania and reached the rank of Staff Sargent. For 30 years, Mr. Pruce held various positions at McGraw Edison and Cooper Industries.

Since 1994, Joe was the owner of JP Awards, a business that provided trophies, plaques and other high quality awards to local schools, organizations and businesses.

An avid golfer, Mr. Pruce was a lifetime member of the Washington Country Club where he won a few Club Championships as well as several hole-in-ones.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Scott Pruce (Cindy Rotunda Pruce) of Nashua, New Hampshire, Gary Pruce (Linda Bruner Pruce) of Frederick, Maryland, two grandsons Alex and Jordan Pruce, two granddaughters Paige and Jarin Pruce; two sisters, Patty Dhayer and Carol Pruce and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends are welcome from 2~4 PM and 6~8 PM on Friday, March 3, 2017 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will begin at 9 AM on Saturday, March 4, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Interment will be private and held at Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
