Joseph F. McNeirney, Jr.

Joseph Francis McNeirney Jr. age 82 of Canonsburg passed away at 6:41 pm Friday December 21, 2018 in Canonsburg General Hospital. He was born July 29, 1936 in Pittsburgh a son of the late Joseph Sr. and Anna Whalen McNeirney. He was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Canonsburg and had been employed as a Manufacturing Representative in the retail carpet industry. Mr. McNeirney earned a degree at Robert Morris College, enjoyed cooking and was a fan of the Steelers and Notre Dame football. He was a helpful person to others, always being there when someone need him and attended Senior Life in Washington twice a week. On April 16, 1966 he married Shirley McMahon who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Michael P. McNeirney of Californian and Joseph M. McNeirney of Nevada, three sisters. Patricia Strazza of Pittsburgh, Maryanne McNeirney of Bridgeville and Sister Della McNeirney IHM of Pittsburgh, one grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
