Joseph J. Jackovic

Joseph J. Jackovic age 76 of McMurray and Canonsburg died unexpectedly, at 9:30pm Thursday October 17, 2013 in Canonsburg General Hospital. He was born July 21, 1937 in Canonsburg a son of the late Joseph and Nellie Rusiewski Jackovic. Mr. Jackovic lived his entire life in Canonsburg and McMurray where he graduated from Peters Twp. High School in 1955. He served as a Corporal with the United States Marine Corps. He was one of the first Peters Twp police officers and for many years was an automotive dealer. He had been a member of both St. Patrick and St. Benedict the Abbott churches and leaves behind many friends and his loving family.
On December 31, 1960 he married Amelia June Curtis who survives. Also surviving are his son Joseph C. Jackovic (Edrianne) of McMurray, his daughter, Amy LoBasso (John) of McMurray, five grandchildren; Antoney, Sammy and Nicolla LoBasso and Joslyn and Ellaina Jackovic, his mother in law, Agnes Curtis and several nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family. Deceased are two sisters; Margaret K. Trylko and Doris Hrycko.
