JoLynne C. Sedmak, 71, of McMurray, passed away on April 8, 2018 in her home.
She was born on October 26, 1946 in Canonsburg to Andrew Sedmak and Josephine Yonack Sedmak who preceded her in death.
A graduate of Peters Township High School, she went on to attend Penn State University where she majored in Home Economics, and The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She lived in Washington, DC, and Los Angeles, California, for a number of years before returning to McMurray. She had worked as a legal secretary and an interior designer for several businesses and organizations until her retirement, including the U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Committee in the 1970’s.
She is survived by her sister, Nancy (Marc) Sedmak-Weiss of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and brother, David (Pamela) Sedmak of Fountain Hills, Arizona; an uncle, Vincent "Butch" (Joan) Peternel of Massachusetts; cousins Robert (Grace) Verchek of Sterling, Virginia; Roseann Carick Frazier, of Strabane, Pennsylvania; Deborah Sedmak Ackerman, of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania; Joseph (Karen) Sedmak of Houston, Pennsylvania, and Milena (Brian) Sedmak Novicki of Tampa, Florida; Rosemary Peternel Leary of Simpsonville, South Carolina; Elizabeth Peternel Bottomley of Winter Haven, Florida.
Among her interests and passions were cooking, interior design, and fashion.

Interment was private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor and Darla A. Tripoli, LFD, 304 West Pike street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120.
