John W. Steuernagel

John W. Steuernagel age 57 of Washington passed away unexpectedly Sunday September 4, 2016 in his home. He was born January 19, 1959 in Washington a son of Antoinette M. Calabro. Mr. Steuernagel live his life in Washington and was Catholic by faith. He had been employed as a harness horse trainer for many years at the Meadows Racetrack. He loved camping, the casino and animals, especially horses and dogs.

Mr. Steuernagel leaves behind his fiancé Laura Schlutz, brothers and sisters; Susie (Jeff) Newton, Mickey (Bill) Hardester, Wilfred E. Steuernagel, Mary Boyd (Jeff) Cumer, David A. (Peggy) Steuernagel, and Kathie Ann Schultz, several nieces and nephews. He was loved by many friends and family most especially John (Donna) Zacone, Jimmy Steuernagel and Anthony Boyd. Deceased are his brother James Steuernagel and sisters Patricia Cloud and Kathleen Marie Steuernagel who died in infancy.

Friends and family are welcome to a Celebration of Life Service at 4:00pm on Thursday September 8th 2016 in the Meadows Racetrack Chapel with the Reverend Joe DiDonato officiating with private interment to follow.
