John T. (Jack) Glass age 67 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully at 1:37pm in his home, Friday July 3, 2015 following and extended illness, with his loving family by his side. He was born March 30, 1948 in Canonsburg a son of Ida Ashton Glass of Houston and the late Jack Glass. Mr. Glass lived his life in the Canonsburg and Houston areas and was a 1966 graduate of Chartiers Houston High School. He proudly served with United States Air Force and was a member and past commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191 in Canonsburg where he served as bartender for many years. He was retired from Abex in Meadowlands. Mr. Glass was a member of the American Legion Post 902, the Bears Club in Meadowlands, Muse Independent Club and the PNU. On September 30, 1972 he married Lorna Hundzinski who survives. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are two daughters; Danyele Glass and Brandy Cummins (Fiancé Karl Weiss), his son John Tomas “JT” (Bobbi Jo) Glass all of Canonsburg, six grandchildren; Adrienne Cummins, Andrew Cummins, Braeden Glass, Anastashia Radlinsky, Jacklynne Radlinsky and Ethan Glass, a sister Deborah (Paul) Dawson and two brothers Anthony (Karen) Glass and Timothy (Suzann) Glass, all of Houston and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his father is his son Christian Glass.
Friends are welcome from 2pm to 8pm Monday July 6, 2015 in Salandra Funeral Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, Lin Webb funeral director 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where services will be held at 10 am Tuesday July 7, 2015 by the Chaplin of the VFW Post 191 Honor Guard. Full Military rites will follow at 11am in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp. by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191 Guard.
