John Dupesko

John Dupesko age 83 of Canonsburg, died at 5:29am Wednesday October 27, 2010.
He was born November 9, 1926 at Arden, Chartiers Twp. a son of the late George and Julia Hegadus Dupesko.
Mr. Dupesko lived most of his life in Canonsburg where he had been employed for 37 years as a machinist at the former McGraw Edison Power Systems. He served with United States Navy during World War II as a Seaman first class aboard the USS Chara, then served as a Merchant Marine. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 861, White Eagles Society, VFW post 191 and the French Club. Mr. Dupesko enjoyed cooking; doing crossword puzzles and had a great sense of humor.
On November 7, 1953 he married Marie C. Battistone who died July 30, 2010. Surviving is a daughter Tina (David) DiTullio of Canonsburg, a son John A Dupesko of St. Martinville, LA. three grandchildren; David (Ricki) DiTullio, Matthew and Autumn DiTullio, a great grand daughter Natalie DiTullio and a soon expected great grandson, a brother Charles Dupesko of Canonsburg, five sisters; Irene Smoke of Canonsburg, Sophie Dupesko of Chesapeake Virginia, Bertha Smith of Canonsburg, Cecelia Warmingham of Prosperity, Rebecca Hodgson of Florida, and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are three brothers; Joseph, Michael and George Dupesko and four sisters Rose Pyda, Julia Pribish, Mary Carothers, Betty Louise Dupesko and Margaret Ostrander and a nephew Anthony Smoke.
Friends are welcome from 2-8pm Friday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg, where services will be held at 11am Saturday October 30, 2010 with pastor Don O'Hare officiating. Entombment will follow in Woodruff Memorial Park. Full military rites will be accorded by the VFW post 191 of Canonsburg and the American Legion post 902 of Houston Honor Guard.
