John "Rick" Antosh

John "Rick" Antosh age 69 passed away Friday June 28, 2013 in his home following a brief illness with his loving family by his side.
He was born January 10, 1944 in Washington, a son of the late John J. "Turk" and Helen "Babe" Szczerbienski Antosh. Mr. Antosh was a graduate of Canon-McMillan Sr. High School and served with the United States Navy during the Viet Nam War. He lived in Houston for the past 45 years. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a sales representative with Lincoln Manufacturing Co. for over 30 years.
Mr. Antosh was an avid gardener, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and most especially watching his grandchildren's sporting events
On May 8, 1965 he married Sandy Lazor who survives. Also surviving are four children; Sherri (Kevin) Schmidt, Eric Michael Antosh, Shannon (Rob) Scarfo and Scott John Antosh, seven cherished grandchildren; Brooke and Allie Scarfo, Cody and Lindsey Schmidt, Tyson, Tegan and Taven Antosh and several nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family. Deceased in addition to his mother and father is a sister Jeanie Spiller.
Friends are welcome from 3-8pm Sunday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a blessing service will be held at 10 am Monday July 1, 2013. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg. Full Military rites will be accorded by the VFW Post 191 and the American Legion Post 902 Honor Guard.
