Joan L. Marino age 82 of Canonsburg passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 10, 2015 in the home of her son, following an extended illness. She was born July 14, 1932 in Canonsburg a daughter of the late James and Clotilda Mastrangelo. Mrs. Marino lived her life in Canonsburg where she was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. She had been a longtime employee of the former RCA plants in Canonsburg and Meadowlands, Sarris Candies and a home maker. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved to spend time with her family and will be missed by all who knew her and her special sense of humor.
On September 27, 1952 she married Angelo “Baker” Marino who passed away Tuesday January 6, 2009. Surviving to cherish her memory are four children; Michael (Wendy) Marino and Angelo (Susan) Marino of Washington and Jody (Joseph) Gasbarrini and Tami (Vincent) Paris of Canonsburg, seven grandchildren; Angelo and Makenzie Marino, Mallory and Morgan Gasbarrini and Matthew, Jason and Vincent Paris, sister and brothers in law and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Marino was the last of her immediate family. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are a sister Beatrice Finney and two brothers; Felix and Angelo Mastrangelo.
Friends are welcome from 2-8pm Tuesday July 14, 2015 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor Lin Webb funeral director 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120, where departing prayers will be recited at 10:30 am on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 followed at 11:00am by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick Church 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg. Interment on Wednesday will take place at 12:30 pm in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp.
