Jean A. Bumbera, 68, of Canonsburg passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 25, 2014 in Allegheny General Hospital.
She was born in Hendersonville on May 19, 1946, a daughter of the late Jules and Tillie Zgorliski DeBaker.
Jean's family was her life. She took great pride in being a homemaker and caring for her family. She was an animal lover and enjoyed crocheting, doing puzzles, reading, and watching movies with her family.
On August 27, 1967 she married George R. Bumbera, who survives.
Also surviving is her beloved daughter, Cherie L. Bumbera of Canonsburg; two brothers, Earl DeBaker of Hendersonville and James DeBaker of Canonsburg; nieces, Peggy Turner of Florida, Heather Quear of Bridgeville, Mary Ann Hart of Canonsburg, and RaeAnn DeBaker of Bethel Park; and a great nephew, Owen Quear of Bridgeville. Also surviving are several additional nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her two brothers, Richard and Raymond DeBaker, and a sister, Marcella Dawson.
Friends are welcome from 2-7 PM on Monday, December 29, 2014 in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra Owner/Supervisor, Lin Webb Funeral Director, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a Blessing Service will begin at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Interment will follow at 10:30 AM in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp.
