Jason M. Homerosky age 36 of Canonsburg, died unexpectedly at 11:51pm Saturday, September 1, 2012 in Cecil. He was born January 21, 1976 in Mt. Lebanon a son of David J. and Judith L. Veres Homerosky of Canonsburg. Mr. Homerosky had been raised in Canonsburg and lived 13 years in Kentucky. He had been a member of St. Patrick Church where he served as an alter boy and graduated from St. Patrick Elementary School. He was a Canon-McMillan Senior High School graduate in the class of 1994 and served with the United States Navy in the Persian Gulf. He was a trainer in Mixed Marshall Arts and was ranked third in the nation.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his three sons; Jacob O., Luke J. and Daniel B. Homerosky and his daughter Gracie E. Homerosky all of Wilmore Kentucky, his sister Ariane Homerosky of Pittsburgh, two brothers Matthew Homerosky of Pittsburgh and Alexander Homerosky of Canonsburg, his paternal grandmother Elizabeth Koren Homerosky of Canonsburg, his companion Wendy A. Rusler with whom he made his home and several aunts uncles and cousins. Deceased are his paternal grandfather, Frank Homerosky who died November 27, 2000 and his maternal grandparents; George M. Veres who died May 13, 2011 and Viola "Vi" Veres who died February 26, 2012.
Friends are welcome from 2-8pm Tuesday September 4, 2012 in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a blessing service will be held at noon Wednesday September 5, 2012. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30pm in St. Patrick Church. Interment will follow at 2 pm in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp. Full military rites will be accorded by the VFW post 191 of Canonsburg and the American Legion Post 902 of Houston combined honor guard. Memorial contributions can be made to St Patrick School.
